| Job Summary | Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is a world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced helicopters for commercial, industrial and military uses. Sikorsky helicopters are used by all five branches of the United States armed forces, along with military services and commercial operators in more than 40 nations. Based in Stratford, Connecticut, USA, Sikorsky has outlying facilities in other Connecticut locations as well as in Florida and Alabama. Responsible for the design, integration, and test of avionics components for a variety of Sikorsky helicopter products. Duties include system design, selecting appropriate electrical and avionic systems and components, schematic creation, wire sizing, system integration, writing test procedures and performing installation verification ground and flight test. Systems include avionic management systems, communication systems, navigation systems, lighting, situational awareness and other mission related components. Candidates should posses a minimum of a BS in electrical, computer, aerospace or software engineering. 10+ years relevant experience with Avionic Systems requirements development, design, and integration is required for this position. Applicant should have the ability to work within a small design group integrating effectively with air vehicle design team including flight test department. Applicant should have a strong working knowledge of associated FAA regulations and military standards. This position is located in Huntsville, Alabama.
