| Description | Learn To Fly In Hawaii Our mission at Hawaii Flight Academy is really two fold: prepare candidates for the FAA examinations that certify airman, and introduce to them the joy of Hawaii aviation. This is a special place to earn your wings. Our program teaches on levels anywhere from absolute zero time in an airplane to commercial pilot, and teaches how to fly an ever changing island. The international community should recognize Hawaii Flight Academy as certified by United States immigration authorities to initiate and accept M-1 Visas. If you are from a country other than the United States and considering flight training in Hawaii, contact us as our school is prepared to assist with the Visa process. Licensed Pilots Fly Here Pilots, Hawaii is a special place to use your wings. Take the opportunity to fly while visiting the Big Island. Schedule a check out in one of our 172’s, take off and really see this place AND add island flying to your skill set. Now, Hawaii is an exotic and mysterious place, but there is no mystery to the way she challenges airmen. Worries aside, you will first go up with an experienced instructor/guide pilot, who will check you out and orient you to this environment and airspace. Time spent will result in you being a safe pilot, a better pilot, and most likely ready to take the plane out for yourself to exercise your certificate. Accomplish these goals and requirements here in Hawaii. Simulators and Classrooms Our FAA approved simulators are obviously very valuable pilot training tools. Develop the skills, stay proficient, stay within budget, and log the time! Quiet classroom space, materials, and computer terminals are available to you as well. Pilot Supplies Our pilot shoppe is set up to supply a variety of basic pilot materials. And if it’s not in stock we can order it. On Site Testing Service We are the only Computer Assisted Testing Service certified testing center on the island. This means the only Hawaii Flight Academy has the approved computers, class rooms and personnel to administer all FAA written examinations. Accelerated Courses If time is a big factor, Hawaii Flight Academy has an accelerated program. This track was initially designed to meet the aviation desires of seasonal residents who wanted to get a pilot’s license during a limited stay in Hawaii. We are capable of training the very determined airman to FAA minimum standards in short time. But this course is not for the distracted. A student should come prepared for intensive training. The cost is all inclusive: flying, fuel, insurance, instructor time, simulator time, class room space, study materials, quality accommodations! College Degrees College Degrees can be earned at Hawaii Flight Academy via our affiliation with the Utah Valley State University Global Aviation Degree Program. Utah Valley State College provides regionally accredited aviation college degrees online through their Global Aviation Science Department.
